Welcome to London Glazing Experts (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). These Terms govern the agreement between you (“the Client”) and London Glazing Experts. Please read them carefully.
1. Definitions and Interpretation
1.1 Client: The individual, business, or entity requesting services from London Glazing Experts.
1.2 Services: The glazing, installation, maintenance, repair, and related services provided by London Glazing Experts.
1.3 Agreement: The contract between London Glazing Experts and the Client for the provision of Services, incorporating these Terms.
1.4 Goods: The windows, doors, glass, or other materials being installed, repaired, or replaced as part of the Services.
2. Services Provided
2.1 Scope of Services
We provide professional services, including but not limited to:
- Installation and replacement of windows, doors, and conservatories.
- Custom glass solutions, including decorative glass and splashbacks.
- Repairs and maintenance of windows, doors, and double glazing.
- Roofline services such as soffits, fascias, and guttering.
- Energy-efficient glazing solutions, including triple glazing and noise reduction glass.
2.2 Availability
Services are subject to availability and confirmation at the time of booking.
2.3 Exclusions
Unless explicitly agreed upon, our services do not include:
- Dismantling or assembling furniture.
- Disposal of old materials or waste.
- Transporting hazardous or prohibited items.
3. Quotations and Estimates
3.1 Validity of Quotations
All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified. We reserve the right to revise quotations after this period due to changes in costs or availability.
3.2 Basis of Quotation
Quotations are based on the information provided by the Client. It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure accuracy. Details considered include:
- Volume and type of glazing services required.
- Locations for installation or repair.
- Specific requirements, customizations, or handling needs.
3.3 Additional Charges
Additional charges may apply under the following conditions:
- Inaccurate Information: Incomplete or inaccurate details provided by the Client.
- Additional Services: Services or items not included in the original quotation.
- Access Restrictions: Restricted access requiring extra effort, such as:
- Narrow hallways or doorways.
- Multiple flights of stairs.
- Parking restrictions requiring our team to park over 20 meters from the property.
- Delays or Waiting Time: If caused by the Client, waiting time will be charged at £25 per person per hour.
- Extended Hours: Services extending beyond 6:00 PM will incur additional charges of £25 per person per hour.
- Extra Costs: Parking fees, tolls, congestion charges, or similar costs will be added to the final invoice.
3.4 Site Visits
For complex projects, we may arrange a site visit to provide a precise quotation and avoid unexpected charges.
3.5 Acceptance of Quotation
Quotations must be accepted in writing or electronically via email. Upon acceptance, the Client agrees to these Terms.
3.6 Amendments
Changes requested after a quotation has been issued may result in a revised quotation.
4. Booking Confirmation
4.1 A booking is confirmed when we receive written acceptance of the quotation and the required deposit payment.
4.2 We reserve the right to decline bookings based on availability or unforeseen circumstances.
5. Payment Terms
5.1 Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
- Credit/Debit Card
- Bank Transfer
- Secure Online Payment (details provided upon request)
- Cash (by prior arrangement only)
5.2 Deposit
A deposit of 20% of the total service cost is required to secure the booking. The deposit is non-refundable except as outlined in the Cancellation Policy.
5.3 Final Payment
The remaining balance is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing. Failure to pay immediately upon completion will result in:
- An initial late payment fee of 5% of the total invoice amount.
- Additional interest at 2% per month on the outstanding balance until fully paid.
5.4 Additional Charges
Any additional charges incurred during the service (e.g., waiting time, extra items) will be included in the final invoice and must be paid in full.
6. Cancellations and Amendments
6.1 Cancellation by Client
Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Fees apply based on notice given:
- More than 14 days before: 10% of the total cost.
- 7–14 days before: 25% of the total cost.
- Less than 7 days: 50% of the total cost.
- On the day of service: 100% of the total cost.
6.2 Cancellation by London Glazing Experts
We reserve the right to cancel bookings due to:
- Unsafe working conditions.
- Non-payment of deposit or outstanding amounts.
- Events beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, public disturbances).
6.3 Force Majeure
We are not liable for cancellations caused by natural disasters, strikes, or other unforeseen events.
7. Client Responsibilities
7.1 Accurate Information
The Client must provide accurate details about the project, including access, property conditions, and special handling needs.
7.2 Preparation
The Client is responsible for:
- Securing parking permits if required.
- Ensuring access to the property.
- Packing fragile items securely unless packing services are booked.
7.3 Supervision
The Client or an authorized representative must be present during the service to provide instructions if necessary.
8. Liability and Insurance
8.1 Basic Coverage
Our basic insurance covers loss or damage up to £50,000. Additional coverage can be arranged upon request.
8.2 Exclusions
We are not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage.
- Improperly packed items (if not packed by us).
- Loss of sentimental value.
8.3 Claims
Claims must be submitted in writing within 7 days of service completion, including photographic evidence.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
